Bounce
A cute video clip of Sophia in her rain forest bouncer on Saturday morning. She loves the monkeys, parrot and lizard. She grabs and kicks like crazy. As you can tell, Sophia is definitely a morning person. She wakes up smiling and talking up a storm.

BUMBO!
Thanks Grandma and Granddaddy Cooksey for my purple Bumbo seat! I love it!! It lets me sit up, so I can see everything and talk to who ever is around.
Playing with Mommy and Daddy
I have the best parents ever! They are always making me smile by playing with me or listening to me jibber jabber no matter how busy or tired they are.
End of Summer with
Grandma, Granddaddy and Aunt Sara
This summer my Grandma and Granddaddy Cooksey, as well as, Auntie Sara and Kingston took great care of me while Mommy went back to work. Today is my last full day with them this summer. They are jetting off to Mexico tomorrow for a nice vacation before school starts. I have had a blast with them and will miss them dearly. Thanks for a great summer!
Love you bunches,
Sophia (aka Precious, Princess Buttercup, Sweet Angel, Dollbaby)
XOXOXO

Look, No Swaddle...Well, Maybe Not Just Yet
So this week Sophia will turn 3 months old! Mommy and daddy can't believe it. The past 3 months have flown by. 3 months is another big milestone so we thought we might try saying good bye to the swaddle. Sophia takes many naps without the swaddle so we thought why not try sleeping without it during the night. So tonight, we decided to give it a shot. Sophia did great until about midnight when she decided to wake up. Daddy got up and rocked her back to sleep in no time. Mommy and Daddy thought we were in the clear, but Precious decided to wake us up again at 3:30 am! Mommy tried to get little one back to sleep with rocking, but it didn't happen so we brought back out the swaddle. Sophia was instantly asleep. Not bad for the first night, but I think for now we will stick with the swaddling. At least until she is a little older or she decides to tell us she doesn't want it anymore by breaking out of it. :) I must admit it was super cute watching her on the monitor...she couldn't quite figure out what to do with her arms. She would wave them back and forth and eventually find the most comfy position.
On a side note, Mommy and Daddy don't miss those middle of the night feedings. :)

Sunday with the Cooksey's
Sophia, Mommy and Daddy hung out with Aunt Sara, Kingston and Grandma and Grandpa Cooksey today. We had a great time playing at Grandma and Grandpa's especially the pool...Sophia loves to nap in the shade with Grandma and Grandpa.
Since we are approaching the big 3 month mark, Mommy and Daddy decided to measure our little girl. Sophia is now weighing just over 15 pounds and measuring 23.5 inches long. It' truly amazing how fast she is changing. She's just the cutest!! She is our heart, and we love her so much!!

12 Weeks Old
We can't believe our little girl is 12 weeks old today! She is growing more and more each day. Sophia is holding her head up, gripping items with her hands, kicking, cooing and let’s not forget the drooling. :) I don't think she could be more beautiful!

Redington Beach with the Powers
July 11 - July 14: The entire Powers family (Grandma and Granddad Powers, Uncle Nate (aka Uncle Na Na), Aunt Heather, Soon to be Uncle Scott, Cousin Joseph, Sophia, Mommy and Daddy) met up for a nice long weekend in Redington Beach, FL (just south of Tampa). Sophia met her cousin, Joseph, for the first time. They had a blast reading books with Mommy (aka Auntie Christina), playing in the rain forest bouncer, watching Ice Age for the 100th time :), stroller races and goofing around on the beach. We miss everyone already!!
A special thanks to Aunt Sharon and Uncle Jim for the use of their beautiful beach house. We had a blast!!

11 Weeks Old
Here's Miss Sophia with her favorite toy, Mr. Cow. She loves to watch Mr. Cow move around on the ground. He has been a great help encouraging her to roll over.

4th of July Weekend
We spent Sophia's first 4th of July in south Alabama at Sugar Ridge farm and at the river. Sophia met all her Oglesby family including her Great Great Aunt Lottie (her Great Grandmother Oglesby's sister). We all had a great time and are looking forward to our next visit.
