January 29 - February 1: This weekend Mommy, Daddy and I flew up to DC to hang out with our family and friends. We had a blast!! My favorite part was hanging out with my bud, Brixton. He is so cool and has the best toys. We also went to see Grandma and Granddad Powers, Aunt Heather, Cousin Joseph and Uncle NaNa. They gave me the cutest pink cow girl boots. I can't wait to wear them! Our trip was incredibly short, we miss them already! Can't wait for our next visit! Love you!

Today, Mommy and I went to visit Daddy at work. I met all his bosses and coworkers. They were so nice and kept me very entertained. I loved all the jewelry...so shiny! We had such a blast that I totally fell asleep on Mommy in the car. Can't wait to do it again! Love you, Daddy!!

Introducing Roland Collins Oglesby

Sophia has a new cousin! And boy is he a cutie!! Cousin Abb and his wife, Celeste, welcomed their son, Roland Collins Oglesby, to the world on Monday, January 5. Collins weighed in at 7lbs 7oz and 20 inches long. Celeste, Abb and Collins are doing great! We can't wait to meet the little man!!

Talking, Sitting Up on Her Own, Clapping and More Teeth

Sophia has had a big few months. As you can see from her photos, our baby girl has more teeth. She has 2 teeth on the bottom and 4 teeth up top (the 4th is just now coming in). And the biggest milestone so far this month, Sophia sat up on her own today. She went from laying down to pushing herself up to a sitting position. Yeah! Sophia has been babbling for a while now, but the day after Christmas she started saying da-da, ga-ga and ya-ya. Mommy is working hard on ma-ma. :) Our angel has not yet master the crawl yet. She still scoots around on her tummy using her arms and legs, but she hasn't quite made it up to her hands and knees. Her buddy, Carson, just mastered the crawl this week, so we think she will be up and going any day now.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone! Not sure what that means yet, but I guess it's pretty exciting. I hear there was a big to do at midnight, but I was fast asleep at Grans and Granddaddy's. Mommy, Daddy, Auntie Sara, King and I all hung out New Year's Day to watch the Capital One Bowl Game: UGA vs Michigan State. The Dawgs WON! Yahoo!! Great start to 2009!!
